ATTENTION: It is recommended to read Chapters I-VIII first to understand the map of the soul's journey, the spectrum of light, the method of wushul, the obstacles to ma'rifah, the role of the Prophet and Az-Zahra, the essence of Al-Mahdiyyin, and the practice of sholawat before delving into this creed.
"You are a reflection upon a mirror. The reflection will never become the mirror, yet it would never exist without the presence of the owner of the face. So, return to His Face, not to your own reflection."
"Tawhid is not counting one as a number, but realizing that other than Him is nothingness borrowed existence. Do not be dazzled by the light of the lamp until you forget its electrical current, yet do not seek the current by touching bare wires without the insulator of the Lamp (the Prophet)."
The Creed of Tawhid in Nurul Muttashil is not an attempt to create a new theology, but a mapping of the consciousness of tawhid so that a seeker (salik) does not fall into two dangerous chasms: equating creation with Allah (extreme ittihad / wahdat al-wujud) or separating Allah from reality (dry dualism). This creed serves as an anchor for the intellect and a guardian of spiritual feeling, so that the spiritual journey remains within the corridor of straight faith.
1. Ahadiyah: The Absolute and Unattainable Essence of Allah
In the station of Ahadiyah, Allah is the Absolute Essence that is completely unreachable by the senses, intellect, feeling, imagination, or any spiritual experience of creation. Ahadiyah is not a realm of light, not a realm of knowledge, not a realm of tajalli (manifestation), and not a realm of creation. It is the realm of pure faith, where all human language and concepts fall away.
"Say: He is Allah, the One."
Source: Surah Al-Ikhlas (112):1
"Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives all vision."
Source: Surah Al-An'am (6):103
"But they cannot encompass Him in knowledge."
Source: Surah Taha (20):110
"Contemplate the creation of Allah, and do not contemplate the Essence of Allah."
Source: HR. Abu Nu'aim
Thus, in the station of Ahadiyah:
- Allah is not called Light
- Allah is not called Knowledge
- Allah is not called Will
- Allah is not described by anything that can be grasped by creation
Ahadiyah is the sacred boundary of tawhid. Here it is affirmed: Allah never becomes the universe, never unites with creation, and never manifests as the form of creation.
"There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing."
Source: Surah Ash-Shura (42):11

2. Wahdaniyah: The Unity of Allah's Attributes (The First Tajalli)
When Allah willed to be known—not by manifesting His Essence, but by manifesting the unity of His attributes—the station of Wahdaniyah occurred. In this station, the attributes of Allah are not separate from one another. His Knowledge, His Will, His Speech, His Life, His Power—all are present in one complete unity. This unity of attributes is what the Qur'an permits to be called Light.
"Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth."
Source: Surah An-Nur (24):35
Light here is not physical light, not an optical spectrum, and not an object. It is the manifestation of the unity of all Allah's attributes without separation. Thus, in the Creed of Tawhid of Nurul Muttashil:
- Ahadiyah = The Essence of Allah (without tajalli)
- Wahdaniyah = The unity of all Allah's attributes (the first tajalli)
Allah's Essence is unattainable, yet the "Presence of His Attributes" encompasses everything:
وَهُوَ مَعَكُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ
"And He is with you wherever you are."
Source: Surah Al-Hadid (57):4

3. The Light of Wahdaniyah: Neither Essence Nor Creation
The Light of Wahdaniyah is neither the Essence of Allah, nor is it creation. It is the tajalli of attributes, not the union of existence. With this understanding:
- We do not equate creation with Allah
- We do not place Allah far from reality
- There is no empty space without Allah, yet no creation becomes Allah.

4. Qalam and Lauh Mahfuz: The Instruments of Divine Decree
Allah created the Qalam and the Lauh Mahfuz as the first created instruments to translate the decree of the Light of Wahdaniyah into the system of destiny.
"Indeed, the first thing Allah created was the Pen (Qalam), and He said to it: 'Write!'"
Source: Sunan Abu Dawud: 4700; Sunan At-Tirmidhi: 2155
"But this is a glorious Qur'an, [written] in a Preserved Slate (Lauh Mahfuz)."
Source: Surah Al-Buruj (85):21-22
The Qalam does not write by its own will, and the Lauh Mahfuz is not the source of decision. Both are creations moved by the Light of Wahdaniyah of Allah.

5. Nur Muhammad ﷺ: The Supreme Means (Wasilah) of Light
Nur Muhammad ﷺ is not the Essence of Allah and not an attribute of Allah. He is the first creation to perfectly receive the emanation of the Light of Wahdaniyah to become the axis of mercy for the universe.
"And as one who invites to Allah by His permission, and as a lamp spreading light."
Source: Surah Al-Ahzab (33):46
Nur Muhammad ﷺ is the lamp, not the sun. Yet without the lamp, humanity would not be able to see the direction of the light.
❖ ❖ ❖
6. The Universe and Humanity: The Manifestation of Effect (Athar)
The universe and humanity are not the Essence of Allah and not the attributes of Allah. Both are athar—the effect of the tajalli of the Light of Wahdaniyah.
The universe:
- Exists because of Light
- Moves because of Light
- Endures because of Light
Yet the universe never becomes the Light itself.
"We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth."
Source: Surah Fussilat (41):53

7. The Seven-Layer Metaphor to Lock the Creed
To lock the understanding so that it is not misinterpreted:
- Allah (Ahadiyah) → The Absolute Writer
- The Light of Wahdaniyah → Living ink that contains all attributes
- Qalam (The Pen) → The first writing instrument
- Lauh Mahfuz (The Preserved Slate) → The slate of divine decree
- Nur Muhammad ﷺ → The title and main meaning of the book
- The Universe → The ongoing story
- Humanity → The conscious letter being read back
This story is real, unfolding, and felt. Yet it never leaves the will of the Writer. Whoever reads this story with tawhid will understand: they are not an independent existence, but a small letter being called home.

THE ESSENCE OF THE NINTH CHAPTER
The Creed of Tawhid in Nurul Muttashil is not a new theology,
but a map of consciousness so that the seeker does not fall into two chasms:
equating creation with Allah, or separating Allah from reality.
Ahadiyah is the Absolute Essence of Allah, unreachable by senses, intellect, feeling, or imagination.
Not a realm of light, not a realm of knowledge, not a realm of manifestation.
It is the sacred boundary of tawhid, where all human concepts fall away.
Allah never becomes the universe, never unites with creation.
Wahdaniyah is the unity of all Allah's attributes in their first manifestation.
Knowledge, Will, Speech, Life, Power—present in one complete unity.
This unity of attributes is what is called Light in His verse:
"Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth."
The Light of Wahdaniyah is neither the Essence of Allah, nor is it creation.
It is the tajalli of attributes, not the union of existence.
Thus, there is no empty space without Allah, yet no creation becomes Allah.
Qalam and Lauh Mahfuz are the first created instruments
that translate the decree of the Light of Wahdaniyah into the system of destiny.
Both are moved by Light, not the source of decision.
Nur Muhammad ﷺ is the first creation to perfectly receive the emanation of the Light of Wahdaniyah.
He is the lamp, not the sun—yet without the lamp, humanity cannot see the direction of light.
The universe and humanity are athar—the effect of the tajalli of the Light of Wahdaniyah.
They exist because of Light, move because of Light, endure because of Light,
yet never become the Light itself.
A seven-layer metaphor locks the understanding:
Allah as the Absolute Writer, Light as living ink, Qalam as the instrument,
Lauh as the slate, Nur Muhammad as the title of the book,
the universe as the unfolding story, and humanity as the conscious letter being called home.
❖
This story is real, unfolding, and felt.
Yet it never leaves the will of the Writer.
Whoever reads this story with tawhid
will understand: they are not an independent existence,
but a small letter being called home.
"You are a reflection upon a mirror.
The reflection will never become the mirror,
yet it would never exist without the presence of the owner of the face.
So, return to His Face, not to your own reflection."
