"Everything that originates from Light will return to the Source of Light."
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All praise be to Allah for the birth
of the Sholawat of Connected Light,
a light for us from the light of Fatimah az-Zahra,
elevating us to the beauty of the light of Muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon our father Muhammad,
and upon our mother Fatimah az-Zahra.
Attach our hearts to their light always,
and place us in the chain of their radiance eternally.
O my father, O Messenger of Allah,
upon you be blessings and peace.
We live in the shade of your light,
and you are the light of the passage of my soul.
Connect me with your light, O my master,
and make me dwell in your radiance.
Amma ba'du (Now then)...
This book consists of two inseparable parts: Sholawat Nurul Muttashil and Sulam Nurul Muttashil. Sholawat is the practice. Sulam is the explanation of that practice.
You do not need to understand theology first to practice Sholawat. Simply read and practice the Sholawat Nurul Muttashil found in Chapter VIII. From there, guidance and direction will be felt.
The essence of this practice is the realization of existence. Not imagining the union of existence with Allah, but realizing oneself like a fetus in the womb: it does not need to know the face of its mother, does not need to understand the mechanism of growth, it only needs to receive and feel the blessing of nurturing, protection, and care.
Such is stillness in the Light of Muhammad — not a technique to be learned, but a condition received in ittishal (connection).
All concepts in this book are derived from the Qur'an and Hadith. Terms such as wushul, ittishal, or mahdiyyin may seem unfamiliar, but their meanings can be understood after practicing Sholawat.
THE TABULA RASA METHOD
The author emptied himself from the understandings of previous scholars while writing this book. Not to belittle tradition, but to allow truth to speak directly from its source.
